My list of favorite baby registry items from Amazon.com! Of course, tastes change and updates happen throughout the years. Though I do not have children as of yet, researching baby items is one of my guilty pleasures, especially because I have lived with both my niece and nephew for years, so that it has made it easy to observe and to understand their needs. I wish I could add EVERYTHING from my baby registry here, but since my list contains close to 300 items, I will try to narrow it down to the brands I prefer, and my most important or useful finds. Do click on the names to access their pages on Amazon:
So let us jump in! When it comes to baby’s apparel, nothing beats Finn + Emma‘s all natural cute designs, Niteo Baby’s dye free 100% organic cotton… And with the Zutano Baby booties that come with a snap closure, your baby won’t have any choice but to enjoy wearing “shoes” all day!
Next on the list would be useful finds! Boogie Wipes are great for sensitive skin, and for those times your baby or toddler has a runny nose. My niece sometimes gets a runny nose, and it is a pain to watch her struggle with normal tissue paper, so this will definitely be my next buy! Next, I would love to use GroVia Reusable Cloth Diaper Wipes along with a wipe warmer and solution that I’ve already chosen, since I am planning on cloth diapering. But for trips outside the home, I found the Seventh Generation Free & Clear Baby Wipes to be quite appropriate, along with the OXO Tot On-the-Go Travel Wipes Dispenser. Finally on the list is the Babyganics brand. I love this brand because they sell a wide range of organic products from SPF to toy and high chair cleaners.
We continue our list with diapering favorites. Those who know about the pains of cloth diapering will understand this section! My niece was cloth diapered, and I’ve done countless research. I think everyone’s already familiar with one size fits all cloth diapers, but those would not be suitable for a newborn baby. Why? Don’t forget the umbillical cord that may get disturbed by bulky diapers since on a newborn you’d have to struggle to make it fit under the cord.. then pray that baby doesn’t wiggle too much. And then putting a diaper that is too big increases chances of leaks! One thing I have learned from reading a few stories is that it’s important to have at least 12 newborn sized cloth diapers. I’d go with even 14 to give yourself some room to breathe.
I love EcoPosh and Rumparooz as newborn options. They fit the required size and come in a variety of colors, and for the heavy days and nights, there’s always the Cloth Diaper Inserts in Charcoal Bamboo. And of course, don’t forget to wash a few times before use to increase absorbency and to reduce chances of leaks.
I couldn’t finish this list without still including a brand of disposable diapers. I find these useful for the first days of baby’s life (I don’t know about you all but I would not look forward to cleaning meconium poop from cloth diapers). I like this package from Bambo Nature Premium Baby Diapers, as it is eco friendly and a 15 day supply that gives parents good enough a break. Last but not least is my all time favorite diaper bag from Ju-Ju-Be Legacy Collection! I do not need to own one to understand how useful and versatile this bag is, and I have absolutely loved watching the teary eyed review from a dad concerning this bag.
And then of course, there is the question of space, effort, and travel. For parents on the go, I also have a stylish list. I am in awe with the Quinny Rachel Zoe Jet Set Moodd Stroller that is a bit on the expensive side at $900, but comes with all my favorites, including the Maxi-Cosi carseat. For families with one child past three and a baby, the BravoFor2 2-Passenger Double Stroller is quite appropriate as your eldest has the option to either stand and enjoy the view, or sit in the back with their seatbelt fastened. Next, when I saw this Digital Wireless Baby Monitor, I was quite pleasantly surprised and added it to my registry right away. I find it essential to have in the car to keep an eye on bubbly babies.
In the second row, we have the LulyBoo Portable Lamb Theme Baby Lounge, which I like because of the high edges and sturdiness. Next, I am a clean freak and would never be comfortable leaving my baby on a shopping cart. I like both options of the Binxy Baby Shopping Cart Hammock and the All Pro Baby Shopping Cart Cover with 2 Pillows & Padded Cushions. They may seem a bit unnecessary, but acquiring them would help me sleep much better at night.
We are still not done yet! Let’s talk bathing needs and potty training. The Munchkin Clean Cradle Tub is great, and I especially adore it because the design allows you to avoid baby’s umbilical cord while it has not yet fallen off. Plus, it allows you to bathe your baby at the edge of a sink in case space is limited. Everyone probably already knows about the 4Moms Infant Tub. They did update their design to this one, but it’s the same concept of keeping the bathing water clean while keeping track of its temperature. Keep in mind that you may need a bath sponge to go along with it for comfort.
Then, I like the Blooming Bath simply because it looks extremely comfortable! I cannot imagine a baby not having a blast in this. Finally is potty training! I absolutely love the Summer Infant My Size Potty. It allows your child to potty train with their own toilet. Talk about training!
No, we are still not done yet! Let’s talk feeding. I am planning on breastfeeding my children, so it is no surprise at all that I fell in love with the Comotomo baby bottles. I’ve also seen it at Walgreens and took it out of the box to try it, and loved the feel of it. They come in a variety of sizes and colors. The Infantino squeeze station is a great option for parents who are planning on feeding their children organic purées as I am. The whole collection is useful, and additional pouches may be purchased online. For the storage of baby food, I prefer the KIDDO FEEDO Multiportion Baby Freezer Storage, simply because it is made of silicone and makes it easy to remove the food from it.
Though I crochet and plan on making things like bibs and wipes, I do still like the aden + anais burpy bib, which is a burby and a bib all in one, and the Bib with Catch All Pocket, which I can imagine, catches most if not all messes. Last in this section is the Graco Blossom 4-in-1 Convertible Baby High Chair. I like it because it is a 4 in 1, which grows with your child and fits your space needs as they evolve through time.
We are finally reaching the end with miscellaneous items! I find that I’d like to have two options of baby carriers. One of them being the SIX-Position, 360° Ergonomic Baby & Child Carrier by LILLEbaby, and the other being the Boba Wrap. I won’t elaborate, though the reviews do speak for themselves. The third item is the Arm’s Reach Concepts Beautiful Dreamer Cocoon Swing. I like this one, as it would be great for the outdoors. I’m sure everyone is already familiar with the 4moms mamaroo, but I like having the option of something lighter that protects baby from insects or mosquitoes.
Then we have the Snuza Hero Baby Movement Monitor. It notifies you in the case your baby stops breathing during his/her sleep. I actually would have prefered the Owlet, but it is sadly not sold on Amazon as of yet. I also like the idea of having a video baby monitor like the Infant Optics DXR-8 Video Baby Monitor. I would much prefer seeing my baby sleeping, and after reading the reviews on this monitor, I was absolutely sold! Then it is of course important to have Corner Guards like this one to keep your children safe.
Closer to the bottom, we have more safety tools like the Safety 1st Magnetic Cabinet Locks. I prefer this one because it allows you to carry the “key” with you while keeping your cabinets safely locked; the brand also sells additional keys as needed. Now, if you are a new mom and are as forgetful as I can be, then you’d probably be happy with the Itzbeen Pocket Nanny Baby Care Timer. It reminds you of all your baby’s needs and would surely turn you into supermom without you needing to lift a finger. Then finally, the all coveted toy, the 4moms, Breeze, Play Yard. It is absolutely necessary. When I have children, I could not picture myself fighting a play yard; I would go bankrupt to purchase this!
So there you have it! Just a few of my favorite baby items. I squeezed 300 items into this itty bitty page, and had to resist adding more. I hope you’ve enjoyed, or even found a few things in here that you haven’t seen already. I am very hard to surprise when it comes to baby registries since I do so much research (I feel I even do so in my sleep), so I could not imagine this being anything new for anyone else. And I mean this with all the humor and sarcasm in the world!
